Recording
Recording is available with me at Silver Street Studios. Silver Street  is a fully equipped professional recording studio with a great live room that enables me to offer a range of recording methods to suit you. The live room can comfortable house full bands for recording live as well as providing a great acoustic space for profesional multi-tracked recordings. I can also offer solo vocal recordings to backing tracks.

Mixing
I am an experienced mix engineer and have worked on many genres including Rock, Pop, Dance, Urban, Soul, Metal and classical styles. Most works recorded at Silver Street Studios will be mixed there as part of the project costs.

Additional mixing or stand-alone mixing jobs can be done at my smaller, Pro Tools based mix studio to reduce the cost to you.

Mastering
Mastering is the process of finalising a stereo mix and preparing it for its final format. I provide mastering free of charge to artists who book a day or more with me at the studio. However I can offer mastering as a separate service to musicians who have recorded at home or elsewhere.

Demos

Demos are quick live recordings that enable the artist to achieve 4 or 5 songs in a day. Silver Street Studios can comfortably house a full band and a recording will capture a live performance. Vocal overdubs can be done but will generally reduce the number of tracks captured. Mixing is done during the session and therefore included in the price. Basic mastering will be offered free to bands booking a full day or more. Standard price is £160 for one day's demo recording. Book now.

 

Band Recording

Great for Singles, EPs and Albums. I like to think I offer a more personalised service than most studios. Clients often thank me for being constructively critical and caring of their work. I'll take time to listen to your previous work and to music that inspires you including records you like the sound of. Each project is treated separately, recording and mixing techniques vary depending on style and time available. It is most common for this method to yield around 2 songs a day, however this can depend on your familiarity with the music being recorded. Band recording is priced per project, this allows the artist and myself to work to the highest of standards without counting the hours. Songwriters

If you're a solo artist or songwriter I can work with you to turn your songs into full tracks ready for sale or broadcast. This is one of my most popular services as I really work with you to realise your ideas. There are so many different ways this can go it's hard for me to list the possibilities. I can either produce your music using the superb sampler instruments and synthesisers at Silver Street or I can put you in touch with session musicians who can perform for you (usually at additional cost). email me or call to discuss your work.

Singers & Solo Artists

I can professionally record and mix vocals to backing tracks or multitracks provided by you. If you make music at home using computer software the hardest thing to get right is the vocals. You can make use of our high end equipment and great acoustic space as well as our professional plug-ins and mixing methods. Don't forget, if you book a full day you can get your music mastered for free too.
